Bernadette Petra, D.D.S.

Bernadette Petra, D.D.S. has been a familiar and friendly face at our practice for years. Her journey with Rock Dental began long ago as a dedicated dental hygienist, and now, we’re thrilled to welcome her back, this time as a dentist. It feels like home for her, and we couldn’t be happier to have her on our team.

Dr. Petra earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry and went on to complete her residency at Northwell Health-North Shore/LIJ on Long Island. From an early age, she knew she wanted to be a dentist, and that passion continues to shine through in her compassionate care and attention to detail.

Her goal is to make every patient feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their smile. Dr. Petra takes pride in combining advanced clinical skills with a gentle touch, ensuring that each visit is a positive experience.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Petra enjoys spending time with her 2 babies and family, exploring local coffee shops, and traveling whenever she can.

Nancy Coughlin RN, DDS

Dr. Coughlin completed an RN program at Hospital for Joint Diseases in NYC and then transitioned to dental school at NYU. In 1988 she graduated New York University College of Dentistry with honors and the academic award for excellence and leadership. She continued with a General Practice residency at New York Hospital Queens.

While maintaining a private practice at Rockefeller Center, Dr. Coughlin held a part time clinical professorship for 10 years at New York Hospital Queens teaching Cosmetic Dentistry.

Her present practice of General Dentistry is combined with cosmetic dentistry, mild orthodontics with Invisalign and Sleep Apnea management with dental appliances when indicated.

While practicing at Rockefeller Center for more than 25 years, she maintains an active membership in the Spears Dental Education Group, Rockefeller Center Study Club, NY Academy of Dentistry, American Dental Association and the New York Dental Society.

Dr. Coughlin and her husband live in NYC. They are the proud parents of 2 professional adult children.

Dr. Fara Vossughi D.D.S., M.S

An empathetic, well rounded and technology driven, Dr. Vossughi is best known by her patients for being a great listener and a very thorough person.

She received her dental degree with honors from the University of Frankfurt in Germany and later relocated to NY where she obtained her Dental and Periodontal degree along with a masters in Periodontics at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine.

While 20 years in private practice, Dr. Vossughi has also maintained a part time position as a clinical instructor in the graduate periodontal program at her alma mater, Columbia.

American Dental Association, the 9th District Dental Society and the American Academy of Periodontology are her current affiliations and she recently received the 2021 Educator Award from the latter.

In addition to her passion for dentistry, she is the proud mom of two wonderful children.

A savvy runner, Dr. Vossughi also enjoys painting contemporary art pieces as well as photography and always finds time to go for a bike ride everywhere she goes.
